Rethink what you know
Are you in the market for a forklift or other material handling equipment? You will need to rethink what you know, with technology advancing and industries changing what you needed years ago might not be what you need now. Needs are always changing so forget what you know about your old forklift specs., capacities and capabilities. Focus on what you currently use your forklift for. The best way to gain knowledge is through communication, education, and understanding. Here are some steps in the buying process you should do.
Gain knowledge
Communication is key
Throughout the buying process ask questions. Our salesmen will ask questions to ensure they can meet your needs. We want to make sure you understand what equipment they are recommending and why.
Educate one another
We believe education is the best tool for us and our customers. You can have one of our salesmen come out to your location to survey the building the forklift will be used in. You can educate the salesmen on where, how, and when you will be using the forklift. As well as educate them about your company and what you do. In return they will educate you on the various forklifts that might work for your operations.
Understanding the Experts
Once our salesmen are educated about your wants and needs for a forklift, they will ensure all measurements taken are correct. Then they will give you recommendations on what forklift would fit your needs best. If you are in need of different attachments or have special conditions for the forklift, these can affect the max lift height, capacity and other important components of the truck making the forklift truly unique for your company.
Making your decision
The salesmen will send you a written quote for you to look over. After you looked over all your equipment and finance options, choose the one that works best for you. Once a signed quote or company purchase order is received by us we will then begin our process. In stock equipment will go through our prep process and if it needs ordered we will then submit the order to our manufacturer and provide an estimated delivery date once received.
Delivering the equipment
The forklift is typically shipped to Mid-Ohio Forklifts before it is delivered to the customers location. We check in the unit, clean it up and it goes through our pre delivery checks to make sure it’s ready for delivery. Once the forklift is ready, we will schedule with you to see what day is best to deliver the forklift to your warehouse.
In conclusion
We are wanting to make the buying process easy for you. So, follow these steps in the buying process and you will become more knowledgeable for the next forklift or other equipment you need to buy.
